How to Add Patterns to Shopify Using GoSadi

Adding your digital patterns to Shopify through GoSadi takes just minutes. Whether you're new to Shopify or have been running your store on it for years, you can connect it to GoSadi for pattern management or publishing new patterns.  You can also take your existing patterns that are published on other selling channels and add them to your Shopify store seamlessly and easily through GoSadi.

Before You Start

Before publishing to Shopify, you need to connect your Shopify store to GoSadi.

1. Go to Manage Connections

2. Click Connect Shopify

3. Follow the setup process in Shopify (create your domain and store settings)

4. Return to GoSadi

Your Shopify store is now connected and ready to receive patterns.

NOTE:  If you have an existing Shopify store, and you want to import your patterns to GoSadi, follow the steps in the Importing Files from Shopify guide.

Publish a Pattern to Shopify

1. Go to Product Library

2. Find the pattern you want to add to Shopify

3. Click on the pattern to open it

4. Go to the Selling Channels tab on the left

5. Click Shopify

6. Select Active under Listing Status

7. Fill in the Shopify details:

a. Product Name - Your pattern title

b. URL Slug - The web address for your pattern (use hyphens between words, e.g., coziest-winter-shawl)

c. Category - Select a category if you've organized your Shopify store (e.g., Crochet Patterns, Knit Sweaters)

8. Add photos:

• You can upload photos to your photo gallery and choose from there, or

• You can use existing photos in your photo gallery from other selling channels, just select the ones that work best for your pattern

9. Add a description:

• Write your own pattern description or use GoSadi SMARTS!™ to generate it

10. Add pricing

11. Add SEO information:

a. Search Title - For search engine optimization

b. Short Description - Brief SEO description

• You can write these or use GoSadi SMARTS!™ to generate them

12. Add tags:

• Add relevant tags for your store (e.g., Cowl, Crochet, Pattern)

• Tags help customers find your patterns in search

13. Attach your PDF

14. Add to a collection (optional):

• If you've created collections in Shopify, you can assign this pattern to one of them

15. Click Publish to Shopify

What Happens After Publishing

Once published:

• You see a Shopify logo on your pattern page

• The logo links directly to your Shopify store where customers can purchase

• Your Designer Landing Page automatically updates to show the Shopify logo

• Customers visiting your DLP see all available selling channels, so they can choose where to buy

• In your Product Library, the pattern now shows Shopify alongside your other selling channels

Manage Your Shopify Listings

After publishing, you can update or manage your Shopify listings anytime.

1. Go to Product Library

2. Click on your pattern

3. Go to Selling Channels → Shopify

4. Make any changes needed (description, price, photos, tags, etc.)

5. Click Sync to Shopify to sync your updates
