How to Make Your Name Clickable in GoSadi Clubs
When you join GoSadi Clubs, your name appears in the member list. If your name is clickable, other members can visit your Maker page. Learn why names are clickable or not, and how to activate your Maker Landing Page to become discoverable to the community.
What are GoSadi Clubs?
GoSadi Clubs are community gathering spaces where designers and/or makers connect, share, learn, and build community.
Who Can Join Clubs?
Any designer or maker on GoSadi can join a Club. When you join, your name appears in the member list on the right-hand side of the page.
Clickable vs. Non-Clickable Names
When you look at the member list in a Club, you'll notice something interesting:
Some member names are clickable (appear as links). Other member names are not clickable (appear as plain text).
What Clickable Names Mean
If a member's name is clickable, it means they have activated their Maker Landing Page. This makes them discoverable in the community.
When you click a clickable name, you're taken to that member's Maker Page where you can see:
Their patterns and designs
Projects they're working on
Things they've made
Work-in-progress projects that might become patterns
Patterns from other designers they've made
What Non-Clickable Names Mean
If a member's name is not clickable (plain text only), it means they have not yet activated their Maker Landing Page.
Their profile isn't discoverable through Clubs, but they can still participate in Club conversations and activities.
Why Activate Your Maker Landing Page?
Activating your Maker Landing Page makes your name clickable and gives you several benefits:
Your name becomes discoverable in Clubs
Other designers and makers can visit your page
You can showcase anything you've made (personal makes, prototypes, WIPs)
You can show work-in-progress projects that might become patterns
You can display makes from other designers you've created
You build your presence in the GoSadi community
You establish yourself as both a designer AND a maker
How to Activate Your Maker Landing Page
1. Log into your GoSadi account
2. Click Maker App in the left navigation
3. You're now in your Makers account
4. Look at the left menu
5. Click Maker Landing Page
6. Click on My Maker Profile and complete the information
7. Click on Color Picker and choose your color palette
Your Maker Landing Page is now active and your name becomes clickable in Clubs!
What Your Maker Landing Page Shows
Once activated, your Maker Landing Page displays:
Your profile photo
Your bio and personal information
Patterns you love
Designers you follow
Projects you're working on (WIPs)
Finished objects you've made
Anything you choose to add
This gives other community members a complete view of who you are as both a designer and a maker.
