Hiding DLP vs Hiding Patterns

Your Designer Landing Page (DLP) acts as the gateway to your treasure trove of patterns, reflecting both your personal style and brand identity. Learn more about what the DLP is and how it can work for you here. Because of its importance, gosadi helps you maintain control over how your DLP appears to your audience.

As you curate and refine your DLP, there might come a time when you wish to shield it from public view. Enter the Hide DLP feature – a tool designed to grant you that precise control. In this guide, we'll explore the Hide DLP feature, delving into the instances where hiding your DLP or specific patterns within it is the right strategy.

Hiding your DLP

Your DLP plays a pivotal role in driving visibility, traffic, and sales by providing customers access to your patterns and your full design catalog, even if you do not keep all your patterns on each Selling Channel. To ensure that your DLP truly reflects your brand's essence, you might consider refining it over time. During this refinement phase, you have the option to temporarily hide your DLP, restricting customer access until you're prepared for the grand reveal.

To hide your DLP:

  1. Navigate to the Designer Landing Page menu.

  2. Click Designer Profile

  3.  Then click ‘Hide DLP’

  4. Save your changes

Hiding Patterns vs. Hiding Your DLP

Certain scenarios call for hiding specific patterns rather than your entire DLP. For instance, if you are updating photography or branding, or if you're gearing up for a special launch and wish to hold back particular patterns until they are fully prepared for user access, opting to hide patterns is the right move.

To hide patterns on the DLP individually:

  1. Locate the pattern in the Product Library

  2. Go to Selling Channels

  3.  On the gosadi DLP tab, select’‘Hide On DLP’

  4. Then save your changes

When you’re ready for the pattern(s) to be available to your customers, follow the same steps and select the ‘Visible on DLP option’

Bulk Hiding Patterns on the DLP

If you need to manage the visibility of several patterns simultaneously, the Batch Hide feature simplifies the process:

  1. Go to Product Library

  2. Use the batch column to select the patterns you want to hide.

  3. Then go to the ‘ARCHIVE OR HIDE PRODUCT’ dropdown and select, ‘Hide Selected Listed from DLP’.

When your patterns are  ready, you can use the batch tool to unhide patterns:

  1. Go to Product Library

  2. Use the batch column to select the patterns that are hidden

  3. Then go to the ‘UNARCHIVE OR UNHIDE PRODUCT’ dropdown and select, ‘Unhide Selected Listed from DLP’.

Final Thoughts

As you contemplate concealing your DLP, it's crucial to evaluate the scope of your decision and whether or not hiding the entirety of your DLP or just select patterns is the right way to go to achieve your goals. By making informed choices regarding DLP and pattern visibility, you can effectively shape your brand's online image and optimize your customers' experience.
